ISSUED BY: Meridian Macro Institute

RECALL NOTICE — VOLUNTARY, CLASS II Reference: MMI-PSA-Y26-0417. Dated 14 October 2026.

AFFECTED UNITS: All Price Stability Assurance certificates, Model Y-26, sold between 1 January and 30 September 2026 under the printed guarantee "year-ending CPI will not exceed 3.8 percent." Approximately 1.2 million units. Serial prefixes PSA-38 through PSA-39.

DEFECT: On the resolution date the certificate assumed a ceiling of 3.8 percent. The ceiling was not load-bearing. September 2026 CPI resolved above it. Units continue to display the original guarantee in full confidence, which is the defect.

HAZARD: Holders relying on the certificate to retain purchasing power may experience sudden, unrecovered erosion. Dr. Casimir Blum, chief economist, notes: "The product did exactly what it said, up until it did not. We rate the residual assurance at zero and recommend no further confidence." Secondary hazard: certificates may be mistaken for budgeting documents.

WHAT THE HOLDER SHOULD DO: Stop using the certificate as a hedge immediately. Do not laminate. Return the unit to any Meridian intake desk for a replacement guarantee rated for the new band, or a refund in units that also no longer buy what they did. Retain the serial number for your records.
