These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Timeline B (the “Site”). By visiting or using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
1. The Site is satire and fiction
Timeline B is a work of satire. Every story, quote, expert, institution, statistic, and image on the Site is fictional and AI-generated. It is presented in a newspaper voice as dispatches from an imaginary parallel universe. Nothing here is real news, and no real person said or did any of the things described. Our recurring “experts” and “institutions” are invented characters.
2. No reliance, no advice
The Site is for entertainment only. It is not, and must not be treated as, news, financial, investment, legal, medical, or any other kind of advice. Do not make any decision in reliance on anything you read here. Any resemblance between our fictional scenarios and real events is coincidental or clearly labelled parody.
3. Intellectual property
The content and design of the Site are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may view and share the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes, provided you do not remove or obscure any satire or AI-generated labelling. All other use requires our prior written permission.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- present Site content as genuine news, or strip away its satire / AI-generated labelling;
- use the Site to deceive, defame, harass, or mislead others;
- use the Site for any unlawful purpose, or in breach of these Terms;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Site.
5. Third-party links and services
The Site references publicly-listed prediction markets and may link to third-party services (for example, an email newsletter provider). We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability, or practices. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.
6. Disclaimer of warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including as to accuracy, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Because the content is deliberate fiction, we make no representation that any of it is true.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Timeline B and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or any loss arising from your reliance on Site content, your use of the Site, or your inability to access it.
8. Changes
We may update the Site and these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted here, and the “last updated” date above will change. Your continued use of the Site means you accept the updated Terms.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at the operator’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under mandatory local consumer law.
