The Man Who Posted Like a Monk, and Why That Should Terrify Us
A week of only 187 posts from the internet's loudest man is not restraint, it is a leading indicator, and the whole tape moved with him.

The market priced this at 0.8% (1-in-133). It resolves September 1, 2026.

I run models for a living, and I have never watched a number scare a trading floor the way 187 did.
For the week of August 25, the world's most prolific poster filed 187 tweets. Not four thousand. Not the eleven-per-hour drizzle we price into our volatility book. A monastic 187, which our desk clocks at roughly one every fifty-four minutes, waking hours only.
Here is my argument. That silence was information. When the loudest signal in the feed goes quiet, everyone downstream assumes he knows something they do not, and they de-risk into the gap. Our Meridian Macro Institute posting-tremor index, which correlates feed cadence with two-day equity swings, spiked to its widest band since we started keeping it in 2024.
The rest of this issue is the aftershock. Ethereum holding above 2,520, the Fed still parked over 4.00 percent, Hormuz traffic normalizing, all of it easier to read once the feed stopped drowning the tape.
Ortolani will say I am pattern-matching noise. Fine. But 187 is not noise. It is a man rationing himself, and a rationed signal is the most expensive kind.
Watch the cadence, not the man.
