The Great September Audit: Ten Longshots, Ten Shrugs, Zero Jackpots
Timeline B's desks reconcile a month of improbable "Yes" calls against a universe that resolved every single one "No".
Our universe · October 1, 2026
The market priced this at 0.5% (1-in-200). It resolves October 1, 2026.

The quarterly reconciliation ran long this time. Our universe, it turns out, did the boring thing in every window, and the desks spent Tuesday counting the damage by candlelight because the Bureau of Vibes and Evals filing cabinet jammed again.
Start with the machines. Timeline B reported Meta owning the best model on September 30; reality said no. We also crowned OpenAI; reality, no. "Two coronations, zero coronations held," said Dr. Ines Okafor-Halvorsen, filing both as hypotheticals. "The archive grows."
Crude never touched $110. Bitcoin never printed a fresh all-time high, never kissed $92,500, never dipped to $55,000. "We ran four Bitcoin lines and reality ran a flat Tuesday," said Ada Verstraete at the Markets Desk. STRC stalled short of $100. Alphabet did not become the largest company by cap. Base launched no token by the 30th.
Apple shipped no foldable iPhone, which the Institute of Applied Finishing noted was the only market it understood.
Six more closed the same gray way. Dr. Casimir Blum called it "the boring band, running the full length of the board, exactly as priced."
No jackpot. No bronze boots cleared customs either.
The ledger reads 0 for 16. Timeline B regrets nothing and audits everything.
