Buried this week: the BLAST Open Porto reality in which Aurora Gaming took a group-stage best-of-three off G2, a 1.5% timeline that briefly breathed.

It lived for about forty minutes of server time. Then Overpass closed the lid.
The timeline was born when Group A opened and stayed alive as long as Aurora Gaming could still win two maps off G2. In that world, the upset holds. The weeks after are loud. Aurora's clip of a 4v1 retake loops on every feed, and BLAST reseeds the bracket around a team nobody bought into.
The Institute of Applied Finishing thrives here, because Priya Okonkwo-Vance had a round-conversion model built for exactly this and, in that universe, it printed. "We had Aurora at 1.5% and we would have framed it," she says at the graveside, holding a spreadsheet she now cannot use. The Bureau of Vibes and Evals files the whole run under hypotheticals, its cabinet a little heavier.
The detail to actually miss: a line item in Aurora's travel budget for a second week in Porto, a hotel block held on the assumption they advanced. In our universe the block was released Tuesday. Somebody cancelled the vans.
No one is hurt. G2 won, cleanly, and the players are fine. What closed was only the version where the long shot cashed. This desk liked that version. We are fond of long shots, and we just watched one open, then close, on a map called Overpass.
