Group A of BLAST Open Porto was supposed to be a warm-up for G2. It ended as an obituary. Aurora Gaming, a 1.5% line on the venue board, won the series 2-1 and did it by breaking the one thing G2 count on: the retake.
The Institute of Applied Finishing had Aurora's round-win probability at 34 percent going into map two. "The moment their entry started trading two utility for one pick, the model stopped believing its own priors," said lead striker-modeler Priya Okonkwo-Vance, who has now frozen the CS retake module for review a fourth time this season.
